Viking compasses, called vegvisir, was found in a manuscript written by Geir Vigfusson in 1860. The compass is said to “Beri maður stafi þessa á sér villist maður ekki í hríðum né vondu veðri þó ókunnugur sá.” In English, "“Carry this sign with you and you won't get lost in storms or bad weather, even in unfamiliar surroundings”
Carry your own vegvisir with you. The necklace band is two 4 strand kumihimo braids woven with 0.8mm Chinese knotting cord. It features a magnetic clasp and a Viking compass pendant.
